  • Thanks for all the data updates. A lot of pages to go through and refresh. Appreciate all that hard work.

I noticed on a couple of heroes that their skill descriptions changed (probably aligning the text with how the skill has actually been working); so I'm going through to see if any of the Roles I had defined in the infoboxes based on descriptions need changed as well.

    • No, i think you're looking at a bug in my script, that i'm working on fixing. I stupidly used the icon id's as an identifier, and they are not unique to each hero... Some hero's have the exact same skill icon.

    • Oh. I had noticed like on Crimson Rose that her Particle Bomb skill changed from

Greatly damages your opposite hero in the back row and lowers hit chance for 2 turns.

      To

Greatly damages the back row and lowers hit chance for 2 turns

So I thought that it was an AOE attack against the whole back row instead of just a single attack against the enemy in back that is directly opposite her.

    1. Changed the Infobox template slightly
      1. Created a Portable Infobox Theme called "stage" which uses a narrower box
      2. Removed the multi-day thing since even though Warriors are on Monday and Thursday, the stages aren't the same
      3. Set the template to know when the tiers (I, II, III, etc.) unlock so we don't have to provide the level
    2. Made it so the tiers on each day could be transcluded into the day's page.
      1. Let's us maintain the loot and enemies on the Day/Tier pages and have the Day page update automatically
      2. See Hero Trial/Monday and Hero Trial/Monday/I for an example.
    3. Applied the templates to some of the pages which were still using static tables.
    4. Added a "previous/next" navigation to the top of each Daily Trial page
    5. Created a couple of pages where the Enemies were on the "Day" page, but the /Tier page didn't exist.
    6. A few other minor cleanups of typos, etc.

  • Thanks for catching that. You're right that I used 3000xp. I'm not sure why. :(

  • I mentioned this in LoA: FR Help, but I figured since you're our "content creation" guru, I'd point it out to you too. :)

I've created a couple of options when uploading images which are specific to our wiki.

Both licenses should be available via the file (or multiple file) upload pages. I've re-tagged all the Game icons, etc. with the new {{GTArcade}} license.

  • Whenever you get a chance, could you pull data for the new Hero Boost feature similar to what you did for Angel Advance? It looks like they work largely the same; so the success rates may be similar as well, but I'm sure people will want to know quickly as Boost Stones aren't easy to obtain (at least today).

  • What do you think about how I added the bold capital letters to the {{ItemNav}}? I felt like it makes it easier to find a page if you're looking for a specific item.

On the Adventure Stages, I've been trying to figure out if there is a good way to name the pages so that it's easier to find them. When they are sorted (alphabetically) on the category pages (e.g. Category:Chapter 6 Stages), they typically aren't in the proper order for the chapter.

We could preface the name with something like:

It would help keep them sorted well, but I'm not sure about how it would look to people who don't understand why their listed that way.

I was also going to add the tier (Normal, Elite, Purgatory) to the {{InfoboxStage}} as well, then I'll have it set a category like "Normal Stages", "Elite Stages", "Purgatory Stages".

Last thing on the Stages stuff. Take a look at my {{BattleFormation}} template. It may help with standardizing the look of the battle lines to match our other tables.

    • Do we have a page somewhere listing our image categories?

        Loading editor
    • I see you've already created the "rollup" Category:Images. :)

  • I could do it my way (screenshot on my phone, then pull it into Gimp and remove everything but the icon. But the result is never as good quality as what you can pull from the databases. I wasn't sure if there was a way to target the Angel skills from the images or if you'd have to sift through a bunch of files and look for them visually (which would suck).

    • some general ranges:

      1,000,000 to 4,000,000 = hero skills
5,000,000 to 10,000,000 = angel skills and auras
      10,000 to 100,000 = items
      100,000 to 400,000 = hero heads.

awakened hero heads always have a 1 attached to the end (eg 1,000,001). hero and angel skills never end in a 1.

    • Okay, cool. I have an export of all of our uncategorized images in an Access database. I may generate some lists of files from that and set some initial categories. I'm sure some will get misaligned and have to be tweaked a bit, but at least it will be a start. :)

I was looking at how the images are used on Hero or Angel pages. It seems that the first part of the number is like a "character id", and the latter portion is how they differentiate between the icons for the various skills.

  • After several attempts at templates to make the Equipment page easier to modify, I'm coming up with a fail. Any template adds more as Wikia has so much data to process. I'm leaning instead toward defining some CSS styles so that we can highlight backgrounds, etc. by hand, but still have a single place to update if we want a different color scheme, etc.

    What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • I have a draft made up: Equipment/Draft

I think it will be easier to update the tables and/or modify the look and doesn't add too much in the way of templates that have to be parsed at render time. Mostly just CSS styling.

        Loading editor
    • render time doesn't really matter. wikia has good caching.

you want me to populate those tables?

        Loading editor
    • I'm trying to work out one issue with my templates. They like to "jump" outside the table definitions. Everything will work fine, then I go back to edit the source on the page and all of the Template calls are sitting before the {| class="loa-table sortable mw-collapsible" line. :( I've posted something in Wikia Community Central to get some help on it.

  • I created a template for the Hero Trial stages so that we can keep them separate from the Adventure Stages. {{InfoboxTrial}}.

I think I made a mistake going through the Monday trials you had loaded, though. I know that Warriors are highlighted on Mondays and Thrusdays. But I haven't paid attention to whether the rewards and/or enemies are different on those two days or the same.

For instance, I set the infobox to indiate that Monday Trial I is available on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. But I realized that may not be correct.
